Terms & conditions
The agreement between you and ORIVA when you buy from this site. Written to be read, not to be got past.
These terms govern your use of orivajewels.in and everything bought through it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Who we are
ORIVA is a jewellery house making pieces in gold and laboratory-grown diamonds. Our workshop is at 1st Flr, 54/B Bhagvatigvati Estate, Kohinoor Road, Varachha Road, Surat 395006, Gujarat, India.
You can reach a person at sales@orivajewels.in or on +91 98196 65350, Monday to Sunday, 9.00 am to 7.30 pm.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to buy from this site. Anyone not competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 may not transact here.
If you use this site from outside India, you are responsible for complying with the law where you are, to the extent it applies to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Any change takes effect from the day it is posted, and the version on this page at the time of your order is the one that governs it.
We will not change the terms of an order after you have placed it.
Domestic orders
Prices on this site can change without notice. You pay the price shown on the day you order, and nothing more — shipping and insurance within India are free.
Orders shipped within India are payable in Indian rupees only. Prices are inclusive of GST as applicable. Your tax invoice is issued with the piece.
Payment is taken through the checkout on this site: cards, UPI, net banking and wallets. We do not offer EMI, and we never ask for card details by email, phone or message.
International orders
We ship to most countries. International orders are quoted individually — write to sales@orivajewels.in with the piece and the destination and we confirm the carrier, the timeline and the full landed cost in writing before anything is charged.
The quoted price covers the piece, freight and transit insurance. It does not cover import duty or local tax.
Import duty and taxes
Import duty and local tax at the destination are levied by that country, not by us. They are payable by the recipient, on top of the price, as per the rates in force on the day the parcel clears customs.
Rates change, and they differ by country and sometimes by state or province. We will tell you the current rate for your destination in writing before you pay, but we cannot guarantee a figure that a customs authority sets and can revise.
We will not under-declare the value of a parcel or mark a sale as a gift to reduce duty. If a parcel is refused or abandoned at customs, the return freight and any charges incurred are yours.
When a contract is formed
Your order is an offer. The contract is formed when we confirm it and the piece is accepted for making or dispatch.
Very occasionally we may have to decline an order — a piece already sold, a pricing error we can demonstrate, or a delivery address we cannot insure. If that happens we tell you why and refund you in full, immediately.
Photographs and colour
Every piece is photographed as it is. Screens differ, though, and gold reads warmer or cooler depending on the device you are looking at. A small difference between the photograph and the piece in your hand is a screen, not a substitution.
Weights, sizes and tolerances
Gold weight and stone weight are stated to the accuracy of the bench. Handmade pieces carry small tolerances — typically within five per cent on metal weight — because a setting is finished to the stone, not to a spreadsheet.
Where a piece is made to your measurement, the measurement you give us is the one we make to.
Hallmarking
Gold pieces are hallmarked and carry a HUID. The karatage stated on the product page is the karatage stamped on the piece.
Grading reports
Where a piece is supplied with an independent laboratory report, the report travels with it and its number is stated on the invoice. Where a piece is not supplied with a report, the product page says so.
A report describes a stone. It is not a valuation, and nothing in it sets or guarantees a resale price.
Stock
Some pieces are finished and waiting; most are made once you order. Availability shown on the site is our best current position and can change between your order and our confirmation.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel before the piece is dispatched, or before we begin making a made-to-order piece, and we refund you in full. Write to sales@orivajewels.in with your order number.
Once a made-to-order, engraved or resized piece has been started, it cannot be cancelled. The product page says so before you buy.
Returns and refunds
Seven days from delivery, unworn, in its original packaging with the invoice, the hallmarked tag and the report it arrived with.
Within India our courier collects the parcel from your address at our cost. Refunds go back to the original payment method within seven working days of the piece reaching us.
The full terms, including return charges and what happens if a piece arrives wrong or damaged, are set out on the Services page.
Lifetime exchange
Any ORIVA piece can be exchanged at 100% of its gold value and 80% of the value of its laboratory-grown diamonds, at the rate prevailing on the day you bring it in, as a credit against another ORIVA piece. It applies to pieces bought and delivered within India and has no time limit.
Intellectual property
The designs, photographs, text, drawings and marks on this site belong to ORIVA. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission. Reading the site, saving a page, or sending a link to someone is entirely fine.
Your account and security
If you create an account, keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.
Limitation of liability
We stand behind our work. Where something is our fault we put it right — we remake, repair, replace or refund.
Beyond that, and to the extent Indian law permits, our total liability in connection with any piece is limited to the amount you paid for that piece. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Things outside our control
Delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control — a natural event, a strike, a customs hold, a courier failure, a government restriction — are not a breach of these terms. We will tell you what has happened and what we are doing about it, and you may cancel for a full refund if the delay is unreasonable.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Surat, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Before that: write to us. Almost everything is settled by someone reading your email properly.
Questions about any of this, write to sales@orivajewels.in or call +91 98196 65350. Last updated 9 September 2026.
